One of the few things that's missing at my apartment are pillows for my vintage sofa (renovated sofa from the 60-ties). These pillow by Heather Lins would fit perfectly. Funny, witty and great for the black and white finishing of my room.

Ringnes Eventyrbrus Redesign
Today I am in mood to post some examples of good package design, which - apart from book covers - is my favourite part of the design world. I also browsed through many design portfolios today to catch up on the latest trends, therefore I have loads new stuff I like. Right now a sweet Before & After case for Ringnes by a Norwegian studio Audun Aas.
The Challenge: Ringnes AS is one of Norways leading distributors of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Ringnes Eventyrbrus as a brand has remained unchanged for the last 50 years. How can one refresh this soda brand to increase the number of buyers without losing your current fanbase?
The Solution: Flaskeladdens Eventyrbrus is a concept for re-branding of Ringnes Eventyrbrus. The concept consists of small and big bottles, cans, and packaging for 4 small bottles. The big bottles is Ringnes’ standard bottles, while the small bottles were chosen based on the ergonomics (small radius and grip for a small childrens hands) and exposure area (cylinder formed). The tall and narrow cans also give a good exposure area for the label.

Marmite Guinness - Limited Edition
Isn't that genius? I have to agree with the poster... (I am pretty sure both the products tast equally... well, wrong). Designed by Core.

What is furniture?
What is furniture? Does it mean only tables, chairs and cabinets? Or could, for example, an electric heater become furniture as well? Maybe it’s possible. It depends on how open minded you are. This collection is called: ‘I am furniture’. As in: becoming furniture. The objects identify themselves with the freedom of our thoughts and minds. I am furniture is produced by Studio Vraay, and most of the parts are hand made or Industrially sculptured. The objects heat up electrically using a reduced electrical heating component made for tomorrow's ecological standards. Besides reducing energy demand, the object heats up the direct surroundings where we find ourselves in, instead of entire buildings. via designgirl.

Miniature Food Jewelry by Stéphanie Kilgast

For a good start of the week a perfect combination - food with no calories and a beautiful treat to the eye. The miniture food jewelry by Stéphanie Kilgast stole my heart recently. She makes rings and earrings and broches being 1/12 of the size of regular sweets such as cupcakes and donuts and cookies. They are decorated just like the regular food, with the difference everything is just so adorably tiny...

Crocheted Carpet by OOdesign
HOW it works: 8 hexagons connected in a tricky way so that you can lay them flat to form a carpet or pile them to use as a sitting cushion. WHAT it is made of: old clothes (T-shirts, fleeces etc) cut into stripes and then crocheted. By OOdesign.

My New Chair - On Its Way!
I have finally bought my dream chair - Eames RAR. The perfect rocker. I always thought I'd go for white, but in the end my dark nature chose the black ;) Can't wait for the delivery.... I'll post a couple of pictures once it has settled with my other vintage furniture.

Puff-Buff Inflated Lamps
Have you ever seen inflatable lamps? I have, recently. They're fantastic. Slightly expensive, but soooo original. By puff-buff design. Check out few more pics after the break.
Felt and Cardboard Animals by Boogie Design
I have a thing for sheep. Every time i go to ireland i end up taking photos of the sheep. My brother thinks I'm a freak, and perhaps I am, but these animals stole my heart. This cuuuute cardboard version is soon to be sold on-line by boogie-design. They usually make things from felt, like the slippers for children featured above, but I hope the sheep will start a new chapter in their designing.
