Did you ever feel guilty that you abandon reading books in favour of spending more and more time in front of the computer? Now you can pretend you don't. Package Design By Peter Gregson

I have to admit it's enough of the paper graphics for this week. I decided to check the Peter Gregson blog then, to see if they came up with any interesting new designs. I was not disappointed to discover their lates package design! I especially like the packaging at the top, with hand drawn illustrations to give you the sense of homemade food.

Pop-up Card By Daniel Baer

This week seems to be all about amazing paper designs! I don't know what got into me. I should be looking for inspiration in furniture and house decorating, as I'm moving to my new apartment new week. And I haven't even picked out my sofa yet... OK, I found these these beautiful pop-up cards by Daniel Baer at the Grafik Magazine blog.

Yulia Brodskaya

I was talking a lot about papergraphics lately and so I had to check out what's new with Yulia Brodskaya. It seems like she's doing a lot of advertising these days, but I'm glad there's opportunities for amazing projects to be comissioned and paid for by someone.

Pierre David Skin Swatch Book

Pierre David took the Pantone colour book we cannot live without, and used the idea or arranging the colours to create an anti racial statement. He created 40 swatches based on skin colours of employers at the Modern Art Museum in Salvador. 40 different shades of skin were arranged from darkest to lightest, they were assinged chemical formulas to create real paint, and exposed in cans, with a photo of an employer on the packaging of the paint created from his skin colour.

Helvetica Cookie Cutters By Beverly Hsu

I really like this - some people are so crazy about typography, they are willing to eat their favourite font!!Beverly Hsu made cookie cutters in the shape of Helvetica typface and can stuff herself with freshly baked typography. With milk.

Celapiu Fox Scarves

All this talk about global warming and the weather today seems nothing like warm. It was -20 Celsius when I had to go to work this morning and it's something I would like to deal with very often! I was wrapped in ten layers of clothing, looking like a fat snowman, having trouble to lift my arms. I was not fashionable at all. To prove I'm still interested in fashion though, here's a selection of great woolen scarves by Celapiu.

Peter Callesen

Couple of posts below I wrote about papergraphics by Zim And Zou. Searching for more examples of work based on paper, I found the amazing works by a Danish artist Peter Callesen. Callesen creates his papercuts from a single sheet of paper and all shapes are glued or folded from the scraps he cut out of that one sheet. Three dimensional figures seem to come to live from two dimensional, flat surfaces of the paper, sometimes they are accompanied by modest use of colours or sketches.

Jonny Wan

Last week I went to see the Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus, but I wasn't that impressed. I thought I would see an explosion of imagination, incredible ideas and visually stunning scenes. There were few, I have to admit, but all in all it left me wanting more. Anyways, speaking of imagnation, here's a few collages by Jonny Wan who has fascination with shapes, facial expressions and hand drawn freeform lettering. There are many more collages after the break, so continue reading!
