Design Miller Associates

Selection of my favourite pieces by Design Miller Associates. Too bad the property value hasn't dropped as much as I was hoping it to. I would already live in a new appartment looking forward to fill it with these.

Annika Engelbrecht's Lamp

It starts innocent - it's a lamp. Perhaps not the most ordinary one you have seen, but it's a lamp. But hen... Wait, does it have pony tails? Can I style it like Pipi Langstrumpf...? You can. Oh, and her name is Frisa.

I Want Design - AND Colour

On a gloomy day like today I'm in a search for colour... Found a good dose at I Want Design. Feel free to join my colour therapy!

HangOver by Luis Luna

You have to be all about recycling when you see something like this. I could make one of these lamps after every BBQ and outdoor party, having collected the plastic cups that used to be filled with drinks based on my dad's famous lemon vodka...

Abby Try Again

Abby says she adores color and shapes. I adore Abby's photos.

Jacek Utko on TED: Designs To Save Newspapers

Have you... met Ted? This line comes from one of the shows I'm watching - How I met Your Mother . But Ted isn't just a guy looking for a girlfriend, using his best friend Barney as a wing-man. TED is also something that changed the way I spend the free time in front of the computer these days. My boyfriend sends me links worth seeing the most and instead of looking thoughtlessly at the TV screen, we both explore the world if ideas. Ideas worth spreading.

This particular clip features newspaper designer Jacek Utko, giving a really interesting talk on how the design can save the newspapers.

Silija Goetz

After spotting Silija Goetz on Behance, I wanted to find out a bit more about her and her amazing illustrations. Unfortunately all I found on her website was this: Silja Goetz is a freelance illustrator with home in Madrid/ Spain. She was born in 1974 in Regensburg/Germany, studied comunication design in Nürnberg (by the way, Nürnberg was the first foreign city I ever saw, I was 10 and in awe). If you think this isn't enough, you can read a short interview with her on Make Do and Mend.

Annabelle Breakey's Photography

Annabele Breakey says she likes the pretty stuff and who doesn't. Certainly I do, thus I'm drawn to her photos like a moth to a flame. Annabelle has been shooting photos since 1990, her portfolio includes photos of food and still life. Check it out if you feel your day needs some colour.

Heineken Crate by Luis Luna

I'm not sure what the temperature is like in your part of the world, but in mine it's steaming hot. The weekend is approaching and I'm drwaming of lying on grass, with a cold beer in my hand and chilly breeze cooling my face... As you see my dreams are all about cold at the moment, but don't reming me of that when the winter arrives. Anyways, this fantastic idea fit perfectly in my dreams. Designed by Luis Luna. Pics from Behance.
