Wall Champion Hanger

I am a huge fan of the fussball. Unfortunately I never thought of making a hanger out of old fussball parts when I was working on my hallway. Folks at RS Barcelona did though and now you can have a set of the friendly footballers of a chosen nationality dealing with your coat situation.


Wall Champions is a coat-hanger which was born a footballer. A decorative item which is also useful, with a sporting, friendly spirit. The players from the classic football table jump off and become a coat-hanger.

Gerald the Self Assemble Dog

I'd love to have a dog, but the thought of having to take it for a walk every morning makes me think I might want to wait a while beofre I get one. This one, on the other hand, is a self assemble dog! Which means it can be disassembled when it starts to demand the morning walks. Perfect.

Single Pillow For A Single Woman

Today I went to see the World Press Photo 2010 exhibition as well as young Austrian designers showcasing their designs in one of the Krakow's galleries. The thing that made me and my friend smile was a man-shaped pillow for a single woman to hug and hold and to fall asleep on its chest. I am so getting one!
I don't need a boyfriend. I just need a well shaped pillow.

Do you remember the post about Coarse Toys? I will forgive you if you don't, but you have to check it out (here)! And right now some Coarse Toys updates - their new series called false friends. No sharks or blood, instead a rabbit that looks like the one from Donnie Darco, right? And also, would you look at that naked toy's six-pack.... Anyways, the toys seem to be so popular that new series is limited to 1 figure per household. God, just like in the communist times in Poland! I thought these days were long gone.

Wooden Radio

Couple of weeks ago I went to London. You might've read about it. I was going to see a concert, that's why I decided to go there in the first place, but it was cancelled and I was just left with a few days in London. I decided to catch up with a city I used to ♥ so much. I walked all over the town and felt like home, even if it's been seven years since I used to live there.

Filling up my schedule I decided to go to the Design Museum, how could I miss it, and spent two hours (at least...) in the museum store. I'm addicted to design gadgets, I admit. I need to show you all of them, or at least anything that's available online.

These radios are made of wood. They're sustainable (I believe). They're funny. They look good. Any other reason you need to have one...?

Go Bananas - Take Two

My cousin Zuzanna Śmiechowska sent me this lovely banana pocket knive, in addition to my previous post Go Bananas! (you can buy the knive on rossi.pl). Zuzanna like myself is a graphic designer, so there must be a graphic designer gens set running in the family. She's also a photgrapher and I recommend visiting her profile. For me those photos have some sentimental value as well, because I can spot my aunt and uncle, together with my cousins there! Anyways, thanks for the tip, cousin.

Animals On The Underground

You're on your way to work / school / fun. The train ride drags forever. The only thing you can focus your attention at are the faces of your co-commuters or the underground map. Chossing the second option, you look at the lines, follow their destinations, until the whole thing starts to live its own life. You see things that you're not supposed to see, shapes take form of animals and faces. Well, at least that's what happened to Paul Middlewick which leads us to Animals On The Underground. Smart and funny concept of drawing animals on the map of the London Underground. Since I'm going to London in a couple of weeks myself, I need to practice my ability to see them for the long rides in the tube.

The animals, created using the tube lines, stations and junctions of the London Underground map were first spotted by Paul Middlewick in 1988. The original animal, the elephant was discovered while Paul was staring at the tube map during his daily journey home from work. Since then, the elephant has been joined by many others from bats to bottlenose whales.

A humorous concept, between holding a cartoon bomb in your hand and making your homework kind of fun, specially for kids, between 5 and 15 eleven years old; the bomb has enough room to hold all the waste left for the pencil and it can be made of soft plastic, transparent plastic, and in any color. It's just the same measurements as a normal sharpener, easy to produce, low set up cost, and can do volumes.

Smoke Till You Drop

My boyfriend and I have a constant, on-going battle about his smoking. I gave up the persuasion efforts recently and only give him hard time about it occasionally, because fighting an addicted smoker can drain virtually all your forces and patience.
Ukrainian designer R. J. Reynolds designed packaging for cigarettes that says more about the smoking nonsense, than many government sponsored advertisements. I seriously doubt it can change a smoker's attitude towards his habit, but at least it doesn't hide the ugly truth behind some beautiful yet misleading design.

Coarse Toys And Sharks

My boyfriend is seriously afraid of sharks. That's the fact. Every time there's anything about sharks on tele, he walks out of the room. Seeing the ocean part of the Natural History Museum in NY turned out traumatic, because they had stuffed sharks on the wallls.
