Package Design - Kefalonia Fisheries by Mousegraphics

I have mentioned several times the wonderful Greek studio Mousegraphics. Every design they release is simple, fresh and yet so memerable because of 1) the concept they put behind it, 2) their attention to detail. This sleeve label for fresh fish seems simple, but I love how inside the packaging the fish is fresh, while the label shows it already cooked and covered with drops of sauce. "A differentiating band, on an otherwise transparent packaging, offers much more than the image of a serving suggestion. It works like an x-ray image of a pure product of Greek nature, as well as a preview of the particular culinary experience, the moment just -before-eating, when a fish is opened and all fine smells and juices are liberated."
Brilliant.

Polish Design - Maria SC Lamp by Pani Jurek

Maria SC is a pretty amazing lamp by Polish designer Pani Jurek from Gang Design made out of ...test tubes. As you see on the pics you cand do preety amazing things with it - pour colourful liquids in, keep your plants... The name of the lamp pays tribute to the most famous Polish scientis, Maria Skodowska-Curie (yes, she was Polish, her husband Pierre Curie was French). The shape of the lamp was inspired by Art Deco forms.

Vintage Typewriters

We can hardly remember the world pre iPhone. Can you remember writing anything on typewriters?
I think the vintage typewriters are actually coming back in style. These rejuvenated ones are Kasbah Mod.

Watch Sculptures

Tiny sculptures by Dominic Wilcox, placed inside watches...

I have a new big project to show. I’ve put tiny figures onto watch hands in order to create mini animated scenes. I had the idea last year during my Speed creating project, but decided it was too good to rush. 8 month later I showed a prototype to Dezeen and they commissioned me to make a collection. The watches use customised model figures and I also made objects, like a miniature looted LCD tv. The glass domes were specially made to fit by Wearside Glass Sculptures in my home town of Sunderland at the National Glass Centre.

Do you remember the "Make Bowls Not War Post"? It's been a while ago, so you might want to refresh your memory by checking it out here ;) Anyways, another cool design by Dominic Wilcox. Everyone seemed to love the Wall Champion Hanger post, you might like this one too then.

Slim Cup

With the technology and design pacing towards the sleekest and slimmest look, The traditional cup also gets the slimmest look. The flattened ceramic cup comes accompanied with the ceramic saucer. It appears like a typical coffee cup from its front side, but at an angle of 90 degrees it shows its true shape.
